Conservation Areas in Wirral
There are a total of 26 Conservation Areas on the Wirral peninsula which are formally designated by Wirral Council to protect local history and characteristic built heritage.
Conservation Areas Wirral (CAW) monitors conservation activity all across the borough.
In this context, conservation is about preservation and enhancement to maintain the area’s distinctive charm and appeal.
