Planning Application at Clavis, 96 Meols Drive - APP/25/01927

We have formally objected to planning application APP/25/01927 at Clavis, 96 Meols Drive.
The proposal involves extensive demolition and large extensions to the historic building to form six apartments, together with the construction of two new houses within the former garden, resulting in nine dwellings on a single plot within the Meols Drive Conservation Area.

We are objecting to this application as it constitutes inappropriate and harmful development that conflicts with the special character of the Conservation Area, as defined in the adopted Meols Drive Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan (2025). In particular, the proposals would result in harmful plot intensification, excessive scale on the golf course boundary, and harm to the setting and integrity of the historic building.
